What else should you know about the Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service?

  • Thorough meeting and communications before hand to cover all details and walk your family through the process.  My goal is to help families feel comfortable with the style of service they have chosen and thoroughly enjoy the ceremony without any awkwardness or discomfort.

  • Interfaith families, raising children in Judaism, feel comfortable with incredibly comfortable with the family service format.  Explanations at ceremonies make their non-Jewish guests feel welcome and understand the ceremony. At Bar/Bat Mitzvah lessons or meetings, the non-Jewish parent as well as the Jewish parent are invited to attend all of the child's lessons and to learn about Judaism.

  • Grandparents and other family members in the service but will always walk them through it in a relaxed, discreet way.

  • I am affiliated with Lodzer Centre Congregation in Toronto if you are looking for a private chapel rental to have your service and luncheon.  There is a beautiful Ark, prayerbooks are supplied, and you have the option of utilizing the synagogue’s caterer all without being obligated to memberships or mandatory attendances to Shabbat services. No pre-requisites.
